Programming is now complete. Remove the intelligent access key. Your vehicle s intelligent access ia key helps make getting in and going easy. You start by setting the ignition switch to off before using a new key in the ignition and setting it to on.

You can now go ahead and program two keys and to do so you will use the ignition key programming option. If two previously programmed keys are not available you must take your vehicle to your authorized dealer to have the spare key s programmed. Once you press okay you can now do the same for the second key to complete the process. If so the following instructions will walk you through the process.

Within 10 seconds place a second programmed intelligent access key in the backup slot. Remove the intelligent access key. Make sure the ignition switch is off before you insert a new key into it. Press the push button ignition switch.

Press the push button ignition switch. Verify the remote control functions operate and your vehicle starts with the new intelligent access key. Ford escape you must have two previously programmed intelligent access keys inside the vehicle and the new unprogrammed intelligent access keys readily accessible. If programming was not successful wait 10 seconds and repeat steps 1 through 7.

Have your unprogrammed intelligent access key in the center console pocket and keep two previously programmed keys inside the vehicle.
